Clase de Chess

“Clase” is in session. Life is like a chess game. With all the distractions around you, what position do you hold? Are you a king, queen, or pawn? Identify your weaknesses and strengths, establish your position, and make your next move your best move.

“Clase” is Spanish for “class” or “classroom.”

The pawn in this piece was inspired by Clase Azul tequila. Here, the tequila represents distraction — the opposition. Many drink to celebrate, socialize, or wash their worries away. However, life is not about wallowing in our trials. Everyone and everything has a purpose along this journey called life, and knowing who and what is for you can make all the difference.

Think for a moment: how will you strategize your next play? Can you seize the moment when it is presented to you? Do you want to be the most valuable, or the most powerful?

No one’s path is the same, but in order to succeed, we all have to choose wisely and make the necessary moves to advance across the board of life. Make your next move your best move, while knocking out anything meant to block you.
